People and Technology, a developer of on-device AI CCTV solutions, announced on December 27 that it has been selected as an NVIDIA Metropolis Partner.
NVIDIA selects companies with next-generation AI vision technology solutions that help make cities, industrial sites, and key facilities safer and more efficient as Metropolis Partners. These partners are provided with opportunities to collaborate with industry experts and leading organizations that are at the forefront of AI adoption.
As NVIDIA’s third Metropolis Partner in South Korea, People and Technology has released a version of its vehicle monitoring solution, Vision Plus Road AI, with the NVIDIA Jetson platform. By utilizing NVIDIA’s Metropolis API, the company is expected to accelerate the expansion of its existing AI solutions onto NVIDIA platforms.
A representative from People and Technology stated, "With NVIDIA’s low-power, high-performance Edge platform, complex processing, analysis, and decision-making tasks that were previously handled by servers can now be performed at the edge. This enables the horizontal scalability of AIoT devices and the distributed functionality of new network topologies, allowing us to meet the needs of diverse and emerging markets.” The company expressed its intention to expand and supply high-performance NVIDIA Edge AI platform-based solutions to both domestic and international industrial and public sectors.
Meanwhile, Vision Plus Road AI is an edge AI-based vehicle recognition solution that combines deep learning technology with geometric optics to achieve high accuracy. It detects dynamic and static object information, such as vehicle license plates, models, colors, manufacturers, and driving speeds. Based on the dynamic information of the vehicle, the solution can detect abnormal driving patterns such as illegal parking, speeding, wrong-way driving, and illegal U-turns.
The solution, previously integrated into existing Edge AI cameras, can be deployed on hardware platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson-based AI boxes and NVIDIA GPU-equipped platforms using NVIDIA’s DeepStream technology.
