Official Remarks: "Expecting Acceleration of Overseas Expansion for Domestic Digital Healthcare Products and Services"
Seoul – April 24, 2024
Enterprise AI services company People and Technology Co., Ltd. (CEO: Hong Seong-pyo, Lim Jin-soon) announced today that it has been selected for the ‘2024 Digital Healthcare Overseas Expansion Support Project’ by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI).
KHIDI's Digital Healthcare Overseas Expansion Support Project aims to create a foundation for the global expansion of digital healthcare and health care convergence service models, as well as to discover and spread successful cases. It supports the achievement of overseas licenses, partnerships, and contracts through the development of overseas expansion models and practical results for digital healthcare products and services.
People and Technology will leverage its digital smart hospital solutions, which have been validated in over 60 domestic hospitals, to promote the successful commercialization of IoMT-based smart hospital SaaS services using Saudi Arabian telecommunications cloud infrastructure. This will be part of a strategic push into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, with a focus on Saudi Arabia, which is accelerating digital healthcare commercialization under the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The key goal is to successfully implement an IoMT-based digital smart hospital SaaS service centered around patient care in Saudi Arabia, a region with a large unmet need for healthcare services, by utilizing cloud infrastructure from a major telecommunications company in Saudi Arabia. This project is expected to create a successful case of domestic digital and smart hospital technology expanding abroad.
Through this initiative, People and Technology plans to secure technology optimized for local telecommunications and service environments, contributing to the global expansion of various domestic digital healthcare products and services. The company anticipates that this will provide a significant boost to the overseas expansion of South Korea's advanced digital healthcare technologies.
A representative from People and Technology stated, “By entering the digital transformation platform market for Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector, we will be able to expand the quality and quantity of various domestic digital healthcare products linked to this platform in Saudi Arabia. This will enhance the quality of healthcare in Saudi Arabia and, ultimately, contribute to raising the global stature of K-Healthcare,” he said.
