People&Technology (PnT), a specialist provider of medical AX/DX-based smart hospital service platforms, announced that it has deployed a real-time patient monitoring solution at Gokseong Sarang Hospital (Hospital Director Jae-heon Jeong) in Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do.
According to a company official, Gokseong Sarang Hospital serves as a key regional medical institution responsible for meeting the healthcare needs of local residents in Gokseong-gun. Through the adoption of this solution, the hospital has further advanced its inpatient safety management system and laid the groundwork to provide more reliable medical services.
The deployed solution consists of the patch-type wearable ECG device HiCardi, the portable pulse oximeter CHARM II™, and the V3 Gateway, which receives Bluetooth signals and relays data to the server. The system has been installed in Ward 3 at Gokseong Sarang Hospital, and patients' biometric data — including ECG, heart rate, and oxygen saturation — is transmitted in real time via the V3 Gateway to People&Technology's smart hospital platform IndoorPlus+ SmartCare for integrated management.
This deployment stands as a case that highlights the strength of the vendor-neutral platform, which is not tied to any single manufacturer. By simultaneously integrating HiCardi and CHARM II to manage ECG and pulse-oximetry data on a single platform, devices from different manufacturers can operate organically within one unified system. Because ward operations and clinical workflows are not constrained by the structure of any particular device, the company explained, hospitals can freely combine the equipment they need and flexibly configure their systems as operating environments change.
With this deployment, medical staff at Gokseong Sarang Hospital are now able to monitor patients' biometric data in real time around the clock and respond immediately to abnormal signs, while also reducing the burden of repetitive equipment checks and creating an environment where they can focus more fully on patient care. The case demonstrates that even small and mid-sized hospitals in rural areas can realize an advanced smart hospital environment, and it is expected to serve as a practical model for digital transformation at similarly situated regional hospitals.
Seong-pyo Hong, CEO of People&Technology, said, "This deployment at Gokseong Sarang Hospital is a meaningful example showing that smart hospitals are not the exclusive domain of large medical institutions. We will continue to support every hospital, regardless of region or size, in building a flexible and reliable smart hospital environment."
