Sungae Hospital and Gwangmyeong Sungae Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 13th with Dong-A ST, Mezoo, and People&Technology, agreeing to build an artificial intelligence (AI)-based real-time inpatient monitoring system to strengthen patient safety and improve the operational efficiency of medical staff.
Under the agreement, Sungae Hospital and Gwangmyeong Sungae Hospital plan to sequentially introduce technologies in their wards based on Dong-A ST's digital healthcare platform, including Mezoo's wearable remote patient monitoring solution HiCardi and its central monitoring platform Live Studio X, as well as People&Technology's Smart ID Card (electronic name badge).
Sungae Hospital plans to build a system that monitors patients' vital signs in real time, strengthening patient safety while maximizing both the speed of medical staff response and overall operational efficiency.
Mezoo's HiCardi is a patch-type wearable device that continuously measures patients' vital signs — including ECG, body temperature, and respiration — and transmits the data wirelessly as part of a remote monitoring solution. It incorporates a defibrillation protection circuit and on-device computation, enabling uninterrupted collection and analysis of vital signs even in emergency situations. Mezoo's Live Studio X is a platform that enables real-time, integrated monitoring of patients' vital signs across a range of devices, including central stations and mobile devices. It automatically detects abnormal signs, including major arrhythmias, and immediately alerts medical staff so they can respond quickly.
People&Technology's Smart ID Card is an E-paper-based bed management system that integrates with the hospital information system (HIS) to automatically update patient information, improving the efficiency of nursing and administrative work.
A Dong-A ST official said, "It is meaningful to join Sungae Hospital and Gwangmyeong Sungae Hospital in building an AI-based smart ward through this collaboration," adding, "We will continue to supply digital healthcare solutions that actively reflect the needs of the medical field, contributing to a safer and more precise medical environment."
